About me

My Name is Esther, I am a qualified person centred counsellor, I offer Humanistic integrative therapy face to face, online or telephone counselling in the Bournemouth area. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (403443)
I have always had a passion to help others in their times of need, which has been highlighted with my own journey of grief. Loss and bereavement affected my life and how I was showing up in the world.
My journey to becoming a counsellor came from a desire to understand how past events in my life impacted me in ways I didn’t understand, working with a counsellor in a safe place changed my life by helping me uncover the layers of my grief and helped me to move forward.
My goal now is to listen to others and offer genuine support while walking the path of grief and people grappling with their own loss.
I feel privileged to be able to sit with another whilst they share their story with me, in turn helping clients find their own way through their own struggles and difficulties.
After qualifying as a counsellor I went on and carried out extensive training in areas that dealt with loss and grief, and although this is my passion I have experience in many other areas in counselling and some of the issues are below:
- Grief, loss or bereavement - Anxiety - Trauma - Depression - Self harm - Anger - Stress - Self esteem - PTSD - Relationship issues - Mindfulness - Life purpose
When the waves in life become challenging, sometimes you might feel unhappy, overwhelmed or stuck.
Our life’s journey has the ebb and flow like waves of the ocean; sometimes gently soothing and sometimes wildly crashing. As we navigate through lifespan transitions and shifting connections with others, we may need help finding your way and waves of life counselling is a confidential safe space where I will walk alongside you facilitating healing and enabling you to reach your goals.
"You don't recover from grief
Counselling won't heal or cure or make you better.
You will always grieve for someone you will always love
Counselling helps to become at peace with that reality"
-John Wilson
